Today I just attend the seminar amazon web services in singapore, the speaker name is Simone Brunozzi from italy. he discuss about the basic of cloud technology that Amazon have. And all I can say this is the real cloud. And it’s truly amazing. i can get a better understanding about “what is cloud”

The cloud system of amazon web services

• Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) : In this step we can choose our OS Windows/Linux and can choose how many processor to run the system
• Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) : In this step we can choose our storage server /fileserver that are able for us to expand more/less storage of diskspace
• Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) : In this step we can choose our database type : mysql,sql,oracle,ibm database,etc
• Amazon CloudFront (Content Delivery Network) In this step we can duplicate our content to 5 region of country so in every country open the content the speed will be the same.

It use a web based to control all this things and they just charge us base what we use only (per hour) for more information go to http://aws.amazon.com

Amazon already invest a lot for this cloud business around 2 billion before the product have been launch, and less company put this budget on infrastructure. And they claim to have better security since they have a standard compliance that they must follow. they also hired a really good support to support their customer.

The seminar also show simple demo how to create a website and cover this 4 module. They have a lot of module, They also have : e-commerce, email server, etc. but not discuss in this short seminar. Great Presentation and Thanks to Simone Brunozzi hope i can attend another seminar in singapore.
